My Story

Having worked in retail management for several years I realised that there was more to life than sales targets and profit margins!

Following a sabbatical year I decided to retrain as a professional and started to research the various options available to me.

Having always had an interest in the human body and the effects of health and disease I was particularly interested in the Science and Art of Osteopathy. I had an experience of excrutiating back pain myself, and was amazed at the treatment I received from an osteopath in Wiltshire. They were both thorough and caring and helped me recover in no time at all. As a child I was shocked once arriving home to find my father white faced and writhing in agony with spasms in his back. Had I known then what I do now, I would have been able to relieve his discomfort very quickly.

Investigation lead me to The European School of Osteopathy. Not only one of the most respected Osteopathic schools in Europe, but also based here in Kent.

Since qualifying as an Osteopath I have gone on to teach at the school as well as to German, Spanish and French students. I have also lectured in Russia and Poland and I am starting a recognised Postgraduate Course in Higher Education teaching in 2011. I am also a clinic tutor in the Maidstone Children's Clinic at the European School of Osteopathy.

In 2012 I completed my PGCert and continued to work at the European School of Osteopathy. In 2014 the opportunity arose to apply for the role of Principal and Chief Executive Officer at the school. I am now holding that post and dedicating my time to the continued development of Osteopathic Education in the UK.
